Please Pass the Indie interview with Kacie Grenon

Can you tell us what song you've written that is the most emotional and describe the meaning behind it?

The most emotional song I think I’ve ever written is our upcoming single “Imaginary Friends.” The song is basically an anthem for the lonely cause it’s about feeling like you have no friends. It’s one of those songs where the lyrics are sad, but the music makes you want to dance. I’m emotionally connected to this song the most because I’m hella awkward and I feel left out ALL. THE. TIME.

10 Questions Music Interview with Kacie Grenon

What do you see as the biggest challenge facing Indie Artists today? Or, if you could ask the music industry to change one thing, what would it be?

I think the biggest challenge facing indie artists right now is the COVID-19 pandemic we’re in the middle of. Everyone in the industry has had to completely adapt to different ways to interact with fans and make money, but this situation is especially hard for independent bands like us who are trying to reach more people and increase their followings because we can’t do all of the traditional things that would help us do that, like touring and meeting people face to face.
